HI andrea
I think question #5 would be a very confounding question to the study
you are going to have a lot of historical time differences and international
differences come into play that will make interpretation difficult

also sexual orientation development is often now considered to be dynamic
and develops over time (one might say) so that what people identified with
in hs vs now could be vastly different, as ell as their own degree of being
out, and their own homophobia

see some of the complications?

I would focus on current experiences

I am not sure if the New Directions in Adult and Continuing Ed volume on
GLBT issues was mentioned- but it was recent... (2006?) (small volume
published by Jossey Bass, Bob HIll editor of that volume

I would include also

a question about whether culture or family has any influence on their
comfort level in publicly identifying as LGBTQ

and maybe a question about
what makes them more welcome? So we gain from the learners a perspective of
how to express that we are open to their views, validate them and welcome
them into the conversation fully? How can it be best communicated?

Some learners may share what works or what worked well in the past with a
special situation

hope that helps
feel free to also email me
I have done some writing and research on this topic as well.
