The Change Agent publication promotes social justice news, issues, and ideas as an important part of the adult learning experience. The March 2005 issue on Transitions explores the complexities and challenges involved in making major transitions in life. There are articles from students focusing on the transition from adult ed-to-college, on immigrating to America, on making difficult personal changes, and on the difficulties of losing a job and starting over. Many of these are great illustrations of real-world applications of Standards such as Reflect and Evaluate, Take Responsibility for Learning, and Solve Problems and Make Decisions, and can be used with students to discuss how effectively the author was carrying out a particular Standard. You can check out the new issue at www.nelrc.org/changeagent and learn how to subscribe. For more information you can also contact Angela Orlando, editor, at aorlando@worlded.org.
