So you'd use an informal "register" with family members but perhaps a more formal "register" with your boss. Andy >>> gdemetrion@msn.com 03/23 9:05 PM >>> Thank you Beth, This is exactly what I'm looking for. These materials are very rich, especially this link: (http://eff.cls.utk.edu/assessment/arc_library.htm). Question: What's a "register" as in: "Pay attention to conventions of oral English communication, including grammar, word choice, register, pace, and gesture in order to minimize barriers to listener's comprehension." But you may have been thinking of the level indicators for the performance continua for the standards. These can be found from http://eff.cls.utk.edu/assessment/arc_library.htm Beth At 03:05 PM 3/23/2005 -0500, you wrote: >Is there an on-line listing of the Components of Performance for each of >the Content Standards? > >Thanks. > >George Demetrion Beth Bingman Center for Literacy Studies The University of Tennessee, Knoxville
