Dear NIFL lists participants,

As of today, the new Center for Adult English Language Acquisition
(CAELA) has its own URL: http://www.cal.org/caela. If you had a bookmark
to the National Center for ESL Literacy Education (NCLE) at
http://www.cal.org/ncle ,the CAELA URL and Web site will come up if you
use the old NCLE URL.

If your Web site is linked to any of NCLE's internal pages (e.g.,
http://www.cal.org/ncle/digests/SLA.htm), if you click on that URL now,
you will be sent to the CAELA homepage and you can navigate from there
to find the document you need.

For those of you who have many links to the old NCLE site on your own
Web site or in your files, please note that in all pages we have just
changed "ncle" to "caela" so that in the above example, if you wrote
http://www.cal.org/caela/digests/SLA.htm, that would directly link to
the document itself.

Changes to several links on one's Web server could be accomplished by a
person doing a "find and replace" --by just changing
http://www.cal.org/ncle to http://www.cal.org/caela --and that will
change every link that has that has "ncle" in it, including links that
are longer like http://www.cal.org/ncle/digests/civics.htm

Meanwhile, during the next several months, CAELA staff will continue to
work on content and structural revisions and additions to the Web site
in order to assist states, programs, and practitioners who work with
adult English language learners.

Sincerely,

Lynda Terrill
