I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to Sondra as she leaves NIFL. I
don't think there is any way to calculate the number of people whose lives her
work and leadership has touched so far and will touch in the future. And to
have done so in such a positive and nurturing way is indicative of who Sondra
is.

It is wonderful to hear that she will continue her work with EFF as it sets off
under its own power. It has been very much like a person growing up for those
of us who have been with it for the past ten (or more!) years.

In its infancy there were sleepless nights, floor pacing, bleary eyes, but we
hung in. Some of us even have memories of sitting on the floor at a summer
institute and cutting and pasting pieces of EFF together with Sondra's help.

As it grew, there were still some long nights, but more discussion than
confusion. EFF matured. It began making obvious, strong connections to and
with all sorts of people in all sorts of roles, and Sondra's guidance and
vision spirited us along.

For some of us EFF feels very comfortable, like an old and trusted friend. It
is truly someone or something we want to share with others, and for so much of
that we have Sondra to thank.

If she tends her garden anywhere near the way she has tended Equipped for the
Future and those who joined her in the effort, her home should be easy to
spot!

Best wishes to a very special person!

Most sincerely,
Bonnie F. in Machias, Maine
