I am posting a message from Connie Harich at NIFL, which contains an explanation: We have received a few messages from subscriber's servers stating that the NIFL-lists messages are being identified as Spam (junk mail). This could explain the recent difficulty some of you subscribers are having in receiving discussion list mail. AOL is a major culprit, we have contacted them previously, but it seems that they are still blocking some of our discussion list mail and dumping it in their spam mailbox. NIFL-list subscribers using AOL are not receiving all the mail posted to the lists. If you are not receiving mail from the NIFL lists, please triple check your spam blocking settings and general spam mailboxes (if your service provides them). If that does not solve the missing message problems, please contact us. If we cannot find the problem on our end, the subscriber will need to contact their service provider to see if NIFL-list messages are being blocked and deleted without their knowledge. Unfortunately, as we discussed before, the @nifl.gov email address is being spoofed, which is one of the reasons we have suddenly found ourselves on spam blocking lists. I hope this helps. All the Best, Meta Potts, Moderator 4-EFF List mwpotts2001@aol.com
