Shortly after it launched in January, the National Institute for Literacy and the Department of Adult Education and Literacy at the US Department of Education began conversations about changing this list to a fully moderated discussion list. Because this involved some changes in technology, the decision was made to inactivate the list until the technological issues could be resolved. The list was inactive for approximately a month and was relaunched Tuesday, March 2nd in its new format. Please note that this list is formally moderated. This means that as the list moderator, I will review each of the postings in advance to determine their appropriateness in meeting the purposes for which the list was established. Approval guidelines have been posted at http://www.nifl.gov/lincs/discussions/nifl-pli/guidelines_pli.html and, if you are interested in subscribing to the list, I encourage you to take the time to review them. You can subscribe to the list at http://www.nifl.gov/mailman/listinfo/nifl-pli.
