Special information for AOL members

Tagging a message as spam sends an immediate flag for an email address to the AOL mail server. Since AOL is very strict about spam, it will warn the source of the email about this. If the mail is not unmarked it could result in loss of mail from the nifl.gov server.

Please do not mark our discussion list emails as spam and be careful not to select "Spam" by accident when placing email in your Trash folder. If you ever wish to stop receiving discussion list emails or would like to receive fewer emails, there are a few options to consider (these rules apply for any email program, not just AOL). Follow the links below for further information:

  1. Turn off your email temporarily without unsubscribing.
  2. Have your discussion list email delivered in Digest format.
  3. Unsubscribe from the discussion list.

If you have any further questions about this, please contact listhelp@nifl.gov
